Some – at least on the face of it – good news for mobile users yesterday with the news that from that date – April 12th – Vodafone has abolished roaming charges for 40 international territories, including the whole of the EU.
Reading between the lines, the major takeaway for us is that existing contracts will not be updated until renewal, so as ever, you need to dig below the headlines to get to the real story here.
We are sometimes able to reposition clients early in that regard – and have experience of doing just that, depending on what would be most advantageous. Certain tariffs will already be enjoying such a benefit, so despite the fanfare there will be a range of issues to look at, that clients will need to consider to ensure they are on the optimal rate.
