According to the latest CIPS survey, supply chain professionals in the UK and Europe are not prepared to wait two years to see the outcome of the Brexit negotiations, and are instead looking for alternative local suppliers now.

The survey – of more than 2,000 members – indicated that almost half (46%) of EU and almost a third (32%) of UK businesses were starting to look locally for alternative suppliers, rather than trade across the channel. Fears about the impending negotiations, and the potential for future trade tariffs and other penalties seems to be the motivation.
