Terry Scuoler, the Chief Executive of the EEF: the manufacturers organisation, is today expected to issue a warning over Brexit.

He is also the Chief Executive of CEEMET, the European equivalent employers federation, representing 200,00 European manufacturers.

According to reports both in The Telegraph and The Guardian, he will warn that unless the UK government offers some clarity on its position, companies will abandon job creation and investment in the UK.

He argues there will be a ‘tipping point’ for industries well before the March 2019 deadline when boards in the UK and elsewhere will need to make decisions based on the state of the negotiations at that point.

He is due to raise the prospect that without this certainty, companies will shun the UK for investment, leading to damage to our long-term economic health.
