1995 – 1997 (2 years) Spotlight was a boutique style advertising agency with progressive ideas on business management and employment firmly believing in total staff empowerment. The owner was looking to take a lesser role in the company and I was employed to chair the management committee with a remit of increasing turnover, introducing a computerized system throughout the company and generally moving the company forward. When two colleagues and myself decided to start our own advertising agency in 1997, I worked with the owner of Spotlight to facilitate the sale of the company. In 1993 I was given the additional position of Managing Director of Drury Lane Studios a company in the Cogent Group that was in decline due to lack of management direction. I joined Chetwynd Streets Ltd which underwent a MBO and became Rock Kitchen Harris Ltd. My initial appointment was as a Production Controller. The company was medium size turning over £5-7 million. Above the line activity was mainly restricted to national & local newspapers, magazines and billboards. Below the line activity was mainly conventional print work with small amounts of Point of Sale.
