Andrew Lee

Project Specialist: Print

With 38 years of print experience – including wide-ranging responsibility for huge print jobs and in-depth commercial awareness – before joing ERA in 2025, Andrew Lee brings an important complementary new dimension to ERA Group’s line-up of print category expertise.

Andrew started in high quality carton manufacturing for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, before moving on to wet glue and self-adhesive label production for Jarvis Porter. He worked for Polestar UK Print Ltd. for 25 years, culminating in 8 years as Managing Director of Polestar Wheatons and Stones, as well as a stint as Group Commercial Director.

Andrew has a rare depth and breadth of experience in various print processes – gravure, heat set web offset, multi-colour sheet-fed lithography (incl. perfecting) and web/sheet colour/mono digital printing – as well as finishing, having run a bindery department in the past. Polestar Wheatons produced hard and soft back books, directories, journals, diaries, magazines, prospectuses and financial products, most requiring different finishing techniques, including sewing, saddle stitching, padding, PUR (polyurethane reactive) binding, tabbing, tipping on, case making, foil blocking, embossing, mailing and wiro binding, all of which fell under Andrew’s remit as MD.

Andrew’s technical print experience is matched by his commercial awareness, not only on pricing, but also in his insight into many print businesses’ capabilities and quality levels, knowledge which will ensure that ERA Group clients’ objectives are met or, where possible, exceeded. A staunch advocate of customer care, Andrew will go the extra mile to see that all clients receive a professional, quality service.
